Following the creation in 2005 of the Safran group (merger of the Sagem and Snecma groups), Sagem's former businesses have become part of several high-technology companies. The Aeronautics, Defense and Security businesses are part of the Sagem and Morpho (ex-Sagem Sécurité) companies in the Safran group. The communications and mobile telephony businesses are no longer part of the Safran group; they make up Sagemcom and Mobiwire SA (formerly Sagem Wireless).
